This is a killer way to stay on top of what's being said in multiple channels without swapping between them, though I find that in the scaled-down window that I use, three channels is about the usable limit. Linkinus still maintains a single input field at the bottom of the window, however, thereby maximizing your screen space while allowing you to hop between channel input focus with cmd-shift-up/down. Simply command-clicking a second channel will split your view between the two channels you want to keep track of.
Most notable among 1.3's new features is the program's Combined View, which allows you to keep an eye on more than one channel at once, even across multiple servers.
Notice the split channels with a new topic midway down the channel view, as well as the yellow channel highlight to denote where input will appear. Linkinus 1.3's new Combined View in full effect.
